First live comedy show 4 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 0
Just got back from seeing Graham & Doug at Goodnights in Raleigh. It was my first live comedy show, and was fucking amazing. The wife and I got to meet them after the show, we were both kind of star struck. I managed to tell Graham that I loved the podcast. Thanks for being super nice, and coming to our city. Anyways, who was the first comedian everyone saw live?

Yes, the Doug and Graham combo is indeed a comedy palm strike to your live eyes and ears.

The first comedian I ever saw live was Jackie "The Jokeman" Martling when he was on the Howard Stern show. I was in high school and lied about my age to get into the 21 and over show. But I don't think anyone cared.

My first comedy show was seeing Rich Little in Las Vegas. I was 18 and went to see the show with my parents, but they sat us RIGHT up front. So close I was staring at his socks all night (they were white). He was wearing the worst polyester light blue tux with the ruffles....I guess that was his signature suit...but it was still so thick and awful I thought he (and the suit) would melt under the hot lights. He was amazing though, funny and did the best impressions!

Since then I have seen some amazing shows in Vegas....Carlin multiple times at Bally's, Rita Rudner, Dennis Miller and many more! (this is about the shows I've seen since, but thought I would throw it in I have been around a while, yes, I am old!)

My first live show was in college at the University of Arizona and Jay Hewlett. Looking back it was kinda hacky but I was inspired to tell jokes myself. The following semester I entered the "Doritos US College Comedy Competition" that was hosted by a very young Judd Apatow. My first time on stage was MC'd by a future millionaire filmmaker who, at the time, had a mullet and acid wash jeans.

Graham & Doug shows are hilarious! Seen them a few times. Those are the shows that make you laugh so hard you have tears streaming down your face and about to pee your pants. Love those guys.

I think the first comedian I saw was Hal Sparks back in 2003. He's great.

The first comedy show I saw was Bill Cosby in the early 70's. I was dragged along to the show as a 5 or 6 year old so, needless to say, I didn't "get" most of it. The first comedian I saw voluntarily was George Carlin. He totally changed the way I thought about everything, and he was HILARIOUS. I got my album signed backstage and he couldn't have been nicer.
